At one point I considered leaving Medicine to pursue other interests (teaching, MBA, consulting, archeology – yes, a true personal interest). Then I realized it was best to stay put during a crumbling economy (I know, I should try to be a little more positive). These articles (below) caused me to reflect on different aspects of my current position which has provided me with a surprisingly stellar work/life balance that I truly & fully appreciate, but also opportunities (both internationally and locally in NYC) to “find a way to add value in a way no one else can.”
Although this piece of art has been used in different ways to communicate political messages about health, I’m posting it out of a simple desire to share something i love – which is art.

Concrete Jungle…
In preparing my thoughts for Stake Conference,
I spent time reflecting on the incredible friendships we’ve made here.
One friend, a seriously talented cinematographer, directed me to this time-lapse presentation below. I hope you enjoy it! I included my introductory remarks from Manhattan Stake Conference.
